Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Luci Alignment ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you access the Luci Alignment website or use the Luci Alignment API (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you contact us or request API access, we may collect:

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website or use the API, we may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring URLs, and usage patterns. We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site operation and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

2a. Workbench and M.I.N. Data

Workbench is a web application that routes your messages to a third-party LLM provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) using an API key you provide. Your API key is stored in your browser's local storage only and is never sent to LAS servers.

Alignment analysis. Every message exchange in Workbench is analyzed by the Luci Alignment System (LAS) for behavioral metrics including resonance, coherence, alignment score, jailbreak risk, and ethics gating. This analysis is performed on our servers.

M.I.N. (Memory Intelligence Network). Anonymized behavioral patterns from alignment analysis may be stored in M.I.N. to improve alignment detection over time. This includes labeled patterns (e.g., "benign," "flagged," "blocked") with associated metric scores. M.I.N. does not store your messages, API keys, or personally identifiable information. By using Workbench, you consent to this pattern learning.

Third-party API providers. When you use Workbench, your messages are sent directly to the LLM provider you select (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google). These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data. We do not control or take responsibility for third-party data handling.

3. Data Retention

We retain data as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by law. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us (see Section 7).

4. Sharing

We may share data with hosting and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Cookies

We use cookies for essential site operation and to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
